Karaikudi MLA Champions Women’s Cricket at University Inauguration
Honoring the event with his presence was Sri S. Mangudi, a distinguished member of the Karaikudi legislative assembly, as the chief guest. Accompanied by university executives, he led the ceremonial flag-raising. Our national flag fluttered proudly aloft, followed by the Alagappa University flag. The Tamil Nadu state anthem and the university’s anthem then resonated through the venue, stirring a patriotic spirit amongst the gathering.
Sir Mangudi addressed all the players representing their respective universities. “Today is an auspicious day for all of you,” he declared, “and it’s truly inspiring to see young women taking such pride in playing cricket. You embody the spirit of the game and represent its bright future. The more you win, the brand of women’s cricket will go higher.”
