Mohammad Siraj then returned to dismiss Babar Azam (50 runs) and Kuldeep Yadav followed it up by dismissing Saud Shakeel (6 runs) and Iftikhar Ahmed (4 runs) in quick succession.
Jasprit Bumrah in his second spell dismissed well set Mohammad Rizwan (49 runs) with an off cutter and followed it with another magnificent delivery to Shadab Khan (2 runs) and the tail enders were dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja. Pakistan lost their last eight for 36 runs and were bowled out for 191 runs.

After a magnificent performance with the ball both the Indian openers set the tone for the chase adding 23 runs in 2.5 overs for the first wicket before Shubman Gill (16 runs) creamed one straight to the point fielder in the bowling off Shaheen Afridi. The Indian captain Rohit Sharma from the other end kept attacking the Pakistani bowlers smashing sixes for fun.
Virat Kohli smashed three fours and scored 18 runs before he mistimes one to the mid off fielder in the bowling of Hasan Ali. Rohit Sharma carried on his merry way brining up his fifty in 36 balls. Both Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma kept attacking and smashing the Pakistani bowlers out of the park. The duo added 77 runs for the third wicket.
Rohit Sharma (86 runs) was on his way to score another world cup hundred but he edges one straight to the short mid-wicket fielder in the bowling of Shaheen Afridi. Shreyas Iyer then finished the match with a four in the bowling off Mohammad Nawaz and brought up his maiden World Cup fifty.
With the win over Pakistan, Team India become the new table toppers with six points in three matches. India next play against Bangladesh on 19th October at Pune.
