IPP vs JRL Pitch Report
Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore
Holkar Cricket Stadium is one of the better batting grounds around, and big totals are normal here in T20 cricket.
Across the last 11 T20 matches here, the side batting first has averaged 203, with chasing teams averaging 184. A score of 195-210 looks like par on this surface. Results have been evenly split: 5 wins for the side batting first and 6 for the chasers.
The last 5 first-innings scores here, newest first: 74 (BUND, lost), 206/8 (UF, lost), 220/6 (GC, won), 174 (BL, won), 154/7 (MS, lost). The pitch has played slower lately: the last 5 first innings averaged 166, below the ground average of 203. First-innings totals here have ranged from 74 to 326 in that time.
Toss call: a close one. Bowling first and knowing the target is the safer choice.
