Mohammad Hafeez Slams BCCI for Poor World Cup Organization

Mohammad Hafeez on BCCI

Former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez is not happy with how the 2023 World Cup is being organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He has criticized the BCCI for their poor planning and organization of the tournament.

We have seen the overall World Cup in just four days, till now, I have seen poor organizing and poor planning from the organisers.

Mohammad Hafeez pointed out several issues. Firstly, the schedule for the World Cup was changed two months after it was initially announced. The India-Pakistan match was rescheduled due to the Hindu festival Navratri. This caused frustration among fans.

Another major concern is the lack of spectators in the stadiums. Mohammad Hafeez believes that when hosting a global event, decisions should be made on a larger scale, and the poor response from the crowd is disappointing.

No one has talked about it but Dharamshala’s outfield is a big question mark. It’s not safe for the players

One significant incident occurred during the Afghanistan-Bangladesh match when a player, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman, got injured due to the condition of the ground in Dharamshala. Hafeez questioned why the BCCI hasn’t addressed this issue.

Mohammad Hafeez also stressed the importance of providing visas to fans from all countries participating in the World Cup. He believes that making the event accessible to fans from around the world is essential for its global impact.

In simpler terms, Mohammad Hafeez is upset with how the 2023 World Cup is being run, mainly by the Board of Cricket Council in India (BCCI). He thinks the schedule changes, lack of spectators, and unsafe playing conditions are serious problems. Hafeez also believes that fans from all countries should easily get visas to attend the World Cup for it to truly be a global event.
