Indian Women before the much awaited Women’s ODI World Cup in India, begin their preparations with a five match T20I series and three match ODI series on their tour to England. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the squad in both the format’s. While some of the key players return to the Indian Women’s Team and some omissions have also been made. India’s tour will commence with a five-match T20I series, starting on June 28th at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. The second T20I will be held in Bristol on July 1st, followed by the third at The Oval on July 4th. Old Trafford, Manchester, will host the fourth T20I on July 9th, and the series concludes with the fifth T20I at Edgbaston, Birmingham, on July 12th.
The England Women vs. India Women ODI series is scheduled to begin on July 16th, with the Rose Bowl, Southampton, serving as the venue for the first ODI. Lord’s Cricket Ground will host the second ODI on July 19th, and the third ODI will be played at the Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street, on July 22nd.
Natalie Sciver-Brunt, following a successful captaincy debut as full-time captain and a good run against the West Indies Women, will be further bolstered by the return of Sophie Ecclestone for the T20I series. Having their number one bowler available against a world-class Indian batting lineup will undoubtedly give England a significant edge.
