It is time for the 2024 season of SA20. A tournament inaugurated by Cricket South Africa to rejuvenate their board’s status. The first season was a huge success in terms of garnering the attention of the viewers and generating profits to the board.
The tournament is set to begin on January 10th. It will feature six franchises based out of the six major cities in South Africa. The tournament has attracted global stars around the world and they are excited to be part of this wonderful T20 league. Rashid Khan

The leggie has picked 556 wickets in 410 matches in T20s at an average of 18.30 conceding only 6.45 runs an over. His power-hitting abilities are a plus point which makes him part of any playing XI. The 25-year-old will lead MI Cape Town in the second edition of the SA20. His experience of playing franchise cricket will benefit his side.
Jos Buttler
England captain, Jos Buttler is another international star who is part of the SA20 2024. The right-handed batsman will represent Paarl Royals in the upcoming edition of the league. Harry Brook
The youngster Harry Brook has made a statement in the international arena with his performances in the initial stages of his career. The explosive batter strikes at 150 in T20s and has scored more than 3000 runs at an average of 32.95The young lad has the abilities to excel and win games for his side. He will be representing Joburg Super Kings under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis at the SA20 2024.
Phil Salt
Philip Salt rose to the frame with his magical hundreds against the West Indies. He is another Englishman who can single-handedly win you games. After breaking the record for most runs scored in a T20 series, the right-handed opener will feature in the SA20 for the Pretoria Capitals. The 27-year-old Salt is a powerhouse who has scored 5136 runs at a whooping strike rate of 153.03 in 216 T20s. Salt amassed 331 in 5 innings at a superb strike rate of 185.96. The opener has the potential to score quickly and provide a good start to his team in the second edition of SA20.
Romario Shephard
We cannot talk about T20s without guys from the Caribbean. West Indies has produced great all-rounders in the T20 setup. Romario Shepherd could prove to be one of them. With great power striking capability and decent bowling, the Caribbean all-rounder would be playing for the Joburg Super Kings. The 29-year-old has represented the West Indies in 32 games in which he struck at 152.79 and also picked up 33 wickets. He would be the first among allrounders to feature in the playing XI.
