In India’s triumphant World Cup encounter against Bangladesh, all-rounder Hardik Pandya found suffered an ankle injury. However, skipper Rohit Sharma reassured fans and the cricketing world that it was “nothing major.”

The incident occurred during the ninth over of the innings, as Pandya was in the middle of a fiery spell of bowling. Litton Das, a Bangladeshi batsman, attempted a straight drive, prompting Pandya to make a valiant effort to halt the ball. In the process, Pandya twisted his left leg and tumbled over, causing immediate concern among the players and the spectators.

The Indian medical team swiftly rushed to his side as Hardik Pandya attempted to stand up and walk, only to collapse back to the ground. Initial apprehensions circulated that the injury might be related to his knee, which would have been a significant blow to the Indian team.

As a result of the injury, Pandya had to withdraw from his bowling duties and was unable to take the field for the remainder of the match. This absence did not deter his teammates, as India went on to secure a convincing seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh.
